South Coast Children's Festival
These October school holidays Illawarra Performing Arts Centre and the adjacent Civic Plaza come alive with three jam-packed days of workshops, art, music, roving artists, and theatre for children. This major new event for the South Coast is designed to inspire children’s creativity and to provide three whole days of activities for families with children aged 0 - 12 years.
Kicking off with the Creativity Conference on Thurs 30 Sept, the festival will offer a range of theatre shows and workshops (both paid and free!). Some workshops will need to be booked in advance and others offer drop-in sessions on the day.

- FESTIVAL PACKAGE: 3 TICKETS FOR $45
Choose any combination of three theatre shows and/or paid workshops. But please note
that all tickets must be for different events, you can’t choose two tickets to one performance.

- individual tickets to paid workshops
- individual tickets to free book-in workshops

Free Performances: Mic Conway’s show Rubbish is a wacky mix of sound and magic mayhem using junk
and garbage to make beautiful music! (Friday 9:30am, Bob Peet Studio).
The ‘Rock-a-Lots and Friends’, Illawarra Children’s Services’ very own band perform songs from their
new CD Blast OFF (Friday 10.30am and 12:30pm, Civic Plaza Green)
Roving Performers on Civic Plaza: Across all three days see fantastic, crazy, roving characters
and performances, including Eaton Gorge Theatre Company, Circus Solarus, POG and Circus Wow.
Visit Wollongong City Library: For a bit of relaxing downtime, the library will have
extra copies of Fox and Tashi on hand if you haven’t read the book or need refreshing!
Free healthy breakfast for kids from 8:30 (while stocks last)
Free sausage sizzle for kids from 11:30am (while stocks last)
